Article 12 Specified Rights Retained by the City
The right of the City of Savannah to enlarge, reduce, replat, and/or change the boundaries or grading of the Cemeteries or of a section or sections, from time to time, including the right to modify and/or change the locations of or remove roads, drives, and/or walks, or any part thereof, is hereby expressly reserved. The right to lay, maintain and operate, or alter pipe lines and/or gutters for sprinkling systems, drainage, lakes, etc. is also expressly reserved, as well as is the right to use cemetery property not sold to individual lot owners for cemetery purposes, including the interring and preparing for interment of dead human bodies or for anything necessary, incidental, or convenient thereto. The City of Savannah reserves, to itself and to those lawfully entitled thereto, a perpetual right of ingress and egress over plots for the purpose of passage to and from other plots. To insure the proper development of the ground, the grade of all lots will be determined by the Cemetery Director. Easement is reserved.
All previous rules are hereby suspended. The City of Savannah may and hereby expressly reserve the right, at any time, to adopt new rules and regulations or to amend, alter, and/or repeal any rule, regulation, article, section, paragraph, and/or sentence in these rules and regulations.
The above rules and regulations were approved on March 1, 1999, and amended on March 1, 2001, and August 2, 2016.
