About
The City of Savannah Office of Community Services manages programs and initiatives to improve the quality of life for our residents. The mission of Community Services is to improve neighborhoods, empower the community, and enrich the lives and experiences of Savannah residents and guests. We accomplish this mission through strong public and private partnerships focused on community planning and neighborhood revitalization; housing development and finance; recreation, arts and cultural enrichment programs and activities; and the coordinated delivery of quality services to assist youth and families, including persons experiencing homelessness.
The Chief Community Services Officer provides executive oversight to the departments of Cultural Resources, Housing and Neighborhood Services, Human Services, Neighborhood Safety and Engagement, and Recreation and Leisure Services; and administrative support and guidance to the Savannah-Chatham County Interagency Council on Homelessness.
Please visit each Community Services department’s homepage for more information about our programs, initiatives, partnerships, grants and investment opportunities.
