Bearly Sick

Bearly Sick at St. Joseph’s / Candler is a childcare program for mildly sick children offered to all employees, dependents, and retirees enrolled in the medical plan. Your child will get the special attention they need during a mild illness. Children, ages 3 months to 14 years of age, who are too sick to go to school or daycare are welcomed Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Closed on major holidays.) Limit to five (5) children per household per day.

Meal Voucher

City of Savannah employees who are enrolled on the medical plan and their immediate family members are provided a meal card for the St. Joseph / Candler hospital cafeteria at no cost during an eligible family member's hospital stay.

Transportation Assistance to SJ/C

EXCLUSIVE for City of Savannah MEDICAL PLAN MEMBERS ONLY

 St. Joseph's / Candler Wellness Program offers non-emergent transportation assistance to City of Savannah employees, dependents, and retirees enrolled in the medical plan and residing within Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham counties at no cost. This program is designated for those members who may have difficulties getting to/from St. Joseph's / Candler facilities or affiliated provider offices.
