[ARCHIVED] Savannah Philharmonic, DCA & Parker's to present Picnic in the Park

WHAT: Picnic in the Park. Enjoy fantastic music and fun family activities in beautiful Forsyth Park. This unique event features a stunning repertoire from the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra. Come early to enjoy local band, choral, and orchestral students at the Forsyth Park Bandshell. The Philharmonic performs at 7 p.m. This year’s picnic theme is “Hollywood in the Park!” Pack a themed picnic and enter to win fabulous prizes from Parker’s. Major funding for the Savannah Philharmonic is provided by the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs. Sponsors include: Parker’s, WSAV, Savannah Toyota, Royal Restrooms, First Citizens Bank, Thomas & Hutton, Savannah Morning News, and South Magazine.

ABOUT THE SAVANNAH PHILHARMONIC:
The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) is a professional orchestra presenting a full range of concerts each season (September to May), from classics to pops. The Savannah Philharmonic Chorus is a community-based auditioned ensemble that performs regularly with the orchestra in an oratorio and opera setting, as well as performing a wide range of music from a capella, Baroque to rock and pop standards. Both are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
