 City Offices to Close in Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday

 

SAVANNAH – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Thursday Nov. 28 and Friday Nov. 29 in observance of Thanksgiving. Emergency services will remain open. 

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule: 

Residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste routes will not be collected on Thursday, Nov. 28. Services will resume on Friday, Nov. 29 on a one-day delayed schedule.   Street sweeping operations will not run on Thursday, Nov. 28. Services will resume on Friday, Nov. 29. 

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Thursday, Nov. 28. Dean Forest Landfill and Bacon Park will resume operations on Friday, Nov. 29 on regular hours. 

Residents are reminded to place all storm-related debris at the curb by Sunday, Nov. 24, to ensure it’s collected during the final citywide pass by the contractor.
