The Keep Savannah Clean litter campaign held its first prize drawing today and awarded a $25 Parker’s gift card to Ted Mauldin of Savannah. Mr. Mauldin won the prize for submitting litter photos to the campaign’s Facebook page, Facebook.com/KeepSavannahClean.Each week, a random drawing will be held of that week’s submissions to the campaign. Prizes include Parker’s cards, City of Savannah parking cards and more. Citizens are urged to take pictures or videos of litterers in action and submit them to the campaign website, KeepSavannahClean.com, or to post via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) using the hashtag #LitterCrew.
About the campaign
The City of Savannah has joined with Parker’s, the Savannah Morning News and other local sponsors to launch the first comprehensive citywide public-private collaboration to fight litter in the community. The campaign’s goal is to curb littering in Savannah by 50 percent over the next year through a strategic education and social media outreach initiative.
