City, Partners Offer Free Teen Mental Health Summit
SAVANNAH (Nov. 28, 2023) – The City of Savannah has partnered with several nonprofits and other entities to present the Free Your Feels Savannah Teen Summit on Dec. 2, 2023 at the Coastal Georgia Center.
Hosted by the nonprofit Silence the Shame, along with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health, Voices For Georgia’s Children and VOX ATL, the summit will bring mental health awareness to teenagers, ages 13-19, by providing a safe space to practice healthy coping skills, share their voices, and connect with peers and professionals in the area.
Attendees can connect with friends and trusted adults to practice resilience skills and learn how to assertively communicate their needs and establish boundaries for a healthy lifestyle. There will also be a Parent Café for adults to manage their wellness and promote healthy development for young people.
This is a free event providing lunch and a chance to win prizes. To register for the event, visit savannahga.gov/savannahteensummit
