Youth Build

YouthBuild Savannah is a full-time, comprehensive youth and community development program.

Eligible young men and women, who have not yet completed high school, spend nine (9) months participating in following activities: GED Instruction, Construction Training, Leadership Training, Community Involvement, Life Skills Training, Supportive Services and Counseling.

Participating youth will use their construction skills to improve their community by building affordable housing for eligible and deserving families. Each trainee will receive above minimum wage for their work on the construction site. Each participant will be eligible to receive at least two (2) pay raises, based upon performance in the program.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be assisted with job placement and/or advanced training opportunities.

To Be Eligible, Participants Must:
• Be a resident of Savannah
• Be a male or female ages 16 – 24 years
• Meet Income Requirements
• Be interested in attaining a GED
• Be interested in Construction and “Green Building”
• Be able to participate in program activities (Mon. – Fri.)
