City Delays Opening Until Noon

SAVANNAH, GA (October 10, 2018) — The City of Savannah will delay opening until noon tomorrow, Thursday, October 11 due to Hurricane Michael. That means City buildings will be closed and City services will be suspended until noon. Public Safety and Public Works operations will continue to operate during the storm.

Tomorrow’s 2 p.m. City Council meeting will occur as scheduled.

In addition, tomorrow’s City Council Workshop scheduled for 10 a.m. has been canceled.

Alderwoman Dr. Estella Shabazz’s District 5 Town Hall Meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. October 11 has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The City is continuing to monitor the weather and will make additional announcements if needed.
