SAVANNAH, GA (Jun 4, 2018) — Savannah Government Television (SGTV) has launched the latest edition of City Span. The magazine-style news show features in-depth stories about the City of Savannah.

This month, City Span tackles the budget scenarios; what’s being considered and what’s next in the process after the dismissal of the Fire Fee. The proposed new Zoning Ordinance (NewZo) also gets an in-depth feature.

City Span highlights ongoing education programs in the City. The Summer 500 program is heating up. City Span will introduce you to two student-interns learning valuable lessons and life skills within the Development Services Department. The Savannah Youth Ambassadors program takes us inside the tricks of the trade for valuable lessons in Public Speaking and Confidence. Savannah Police are making sure its officers know the ins and outs of the new Marijuana Ordinance in effect. Plus a Roll Call in the Street for one of our precincts.

City Span continues the hit series “Dirty. City. Jobs.” by showcasing the other half of the sewer process. Other stories include: Sign unveilings, a new City park and a feature on our famous goat landscapers in Laurel Grove Cemetery.

City Span can be seen on Comcast Channel 8 (in Savannah) weekdays on the 3’s, 7’s and 11’s (3 a.m. and 3 p.m., 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.) City Span can also be seen anytime on the City’s 24-hour streaming YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/41rKtIEJL-A or on the City’s Website at www.savannahga.gov/sgtv
