City Terminates Employee Suspected of Theft

SAVANNAH, GA (June 18, 2018) — The City of Savannah terminated a Parking and Mobility Department employee suspected of mishandling money. The City of Savannah reported the theft to the Savannah Police Department. Ashley Swindell, a facilities supervisor, was arrested last week on Theft by Taking charges.

The City’s Office of Organizational Performance and Accountability is conducting a comprehensive audit and investigation.
