City Gears up for Largest Earth Day Event in Georgia
SAVANNAH, GA (April 19, 2018) — The City of Savannah will once again be a major partner in the Savannah Earth Day Festival occurring this Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Forsyth Park.
The Savannah Earth Day Festival is the largest environmental outreach event of the year and the largest educational Earth Day event in the state of Georgia. Over 100 exhibitors and vendors http://earthdaysavannah.org
are anticipated to serve 10,000 attendees.
Multiple free workshops will be provided during the event covering topics including Energy & Recycling, Gardening, and Healthy Choices. Come learn about pollinators, recycling, composting, energy efficiency in your home, zero-waste living, and much more. The City’s Director of Sanitation, Gene Prevatt, will hold a workshop on City recycling at 1 p.m.
