Publix Half Marathon to Affect Traffic Downtown

SAVANNAH, GA (April 6, 2018)— Downtown traffic will be affected for several hours the morning of April 7 as Savannah Police close roads for the annual Publix Savannah Women’s Half Publix HalfMarathon and 5k.

Road closures will begin on Drayton Street headed north to Bryan Street beginning at 7 a.m. Barnard Street from Bryan Street to East Duffy Street will also be closed beginning at 7:30 a.m. The intersection of Victory Drive and Price Street will also be closed shortly after 7:45 a.m.

The re-openings of the roads will be staggered beginning at 8 a.m. and will continue through the morning. A map of the route and a complete list of projected road closure and re-opening times can be found at http://www.savannahwomenshalf.com

Traffic flow should is projected to be returned to normal on all streets by 12:00 p.m.

This event is produced by the Savannah Sports Council and has been permitted through the City of Savannah. Please use alternative routes and exercise patience if traveling through the downtown area during this time.
