Vice President Joining Savannah’s Mayor for St. Patrick’s Day

SAVANNAH, GA (March 13, 2018) —The City of Savannah will be hosting Vice President Mike Pence for the 2018 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Vice President Pence will join Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach in welcoming the parade participants and parade goers. 

Vice President Pence“It’s a true honor to welcome Vice President Pence to our beautiful city,” said Mayor DeLoach.  “We are excited to showcase our City and this parade to the Vice President and our nation.  They will see what we have enjoyed for the past 194 years, the greatest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world.”

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee Chairman Brian Counihan said, “We are looking forward to having the Vice President, a proud fellow American of Irish decent, visit Savannah on the day we celebrate our patron saint, Saint Patrick.  This is a day we celebrate faith, family and country and remember what our ancestors sacrificed, so our country can be the great country is it today.”




The City is working closely with the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee to accommodate this special guest.
