Savannah Government Television’s City Span just launched its September show. The magazine-style news show features stories in and about the City of Savannah.

This month’s show features an interview with Mayor Eddie DeLoach about what our residents need to know regarding the de-merger of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department. There’s also a segment on the launch of the City’s new Savannah Shines program aimed at helping residents rid their neighborhoods of blight and crime.

Other stories this month include an update on the Downtown Streetscape project, Living Wage, Open Neighborhoods, Fifth District sign unveilings, Native Blooms in City Hall, City Reorganization, Summer 500 closing ceremony and a recap an another incredible season by the Savannah Bananas. You can also see our partnership stories with the Small Business Assistance Corp and Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Savannah.

It airs weekdays at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm on Comcast Channel 8. The full show can also been viewed on the City of Savannah’s website www.savannahga.gov/sgtv. It is also available on the City’s YouTube page, just search “City of Savannah” or visit www.youtube.com/cityofsavannah.
