2018 HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ONE-YEAR ACTION PLAN EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT (ESG) PROGRAM NOTICE OF FUNDING
The City of Savannah is accepting project applications under the Emergency Solutions Grant pursuant to the authority of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act amended by S896, the Homeless Emergency Assistance And Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act of 2009 for the following allowable programs:
- Emergency Shelter: Essential Services to homeless persons in emergency shelters and operating costs of emergency shelters.
- Homeless Prevention: Housing relocation, stabilization, and short/medium term rental assistance to keep persons at risk of homelessness from becoming homeless.
- Street Outreach: Outreach, engagement, and provision of essential services for unsheltered homeless persons.
- Homeless Management Information System (HMIS): Eligible costs for HMIS participants.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Who May Apply: Eligible Savannah-Chatham County Homeless Continuum of Care non-profit organizations and/or partner agencies with one or more of the allowable programs listed above.
Application Deadline: by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017. Submit two (2) copies of your applications to the City of Savannah Community Planning & Development Department at 2203 Abercorn Street (corner of 38th), Savannah, GA 31401. ONLY hard copy applications will be accepted. Late applications will be rejected. Applications are available for pick-up and on-line at www.savannahga.gov/cpd.
Application Work Session: ESG Application Work Session will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. July 20, 2017 in the Community Planning & Development Conference Room.
