[ARCHIVED] Entrepreneurial Center to host Hurricane Matthew Business Recovery Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: October 26, 2016

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today the opening of a Business Recovery Center in the City of Savannah Entrepreneurial Center to help businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew on Oct. 4 - 15, 2016. SBA representatives at the Business Recovery Centers in Chatham county can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application.

Open:         Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.                                  
Closed:     Sundays                                                      

The SBA offers low-interest, long-terms disaster loans for physical damage and working capital. To be considered for assistance, survivors need to apply by the deadline. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 16, 2016.  The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 17, 2017.

Additional information on the disaster loan program may be obtained by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.  Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov/disaster.  Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
