[ARCHIVED] Operation Clean Sweep focuses on Edgemere/Sackville

For Immediate Release
Date: October 3, 2016

Operation Clean Sweep will be in the Edgemere/Sackville Neighborhood, Saturday, October 8, from 9 a.m. until noon. Residents and community volunteers will pick up litter from E. 53rd to E. 55th Street and from Waters Avenue to Cedar Street.

The City of Savannah and community volunteers will conduct outreach and education activities on October 8, utilizing:

? Savannah Fire Department- Fire Safety
? SCPMD Crime Prevention
? City of Savannah Sanitation Bureau/Property Maintenance Department which will distribute information about the service schedules for residential refuse, curbside recycling, and street weeping and code enforcement.
? Street Maintenance regarding lane cleanliness
