ONSE to Host National Gun Violence Survivor Week Event
SAVANNAH (Jan. 22, 2024) – The City of Savannah’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) will host an event in observance of National Gun Violence Survivor Week on Thursday, Jan. 25.
Savannah youth are invited for an open and candid discussion about gun violence and how it impacts our community, survivors, and family members. Speakers will include community members who are dealing with the lasting impacts of gun violence after losing a loved one to tragedy.
This event is open to the public and media are encouraged to attend.

About National Gun Violence Survivor Week
The sixth annual National Gun Violence Survivors Week, Jan. 22 – 26, is a time when communities come together to honor and amplify the stories and voices of gun violence survivors who live with the impact of gun violence every day of the year. According to a report by Everytown Research, more than 120 people in America die by gun violence and over 200 are wounded every day.
