The City of Savannah has been exploring the creation of a community benefits agreement program. A community benefits agreement is a contract negotiated between a prospective developer and community representatives outlining the benefits that the developer will provide to the community in exchange for the community’s support of the proposed development.
The following virtual meetings have taken place to discuss this initiative with community stakeholders:
City Council Workshop, September 10: View Here
Stakeholder Evening Meeting, November 5: View here
Stakeholder Day Meeting, December 1: View Here
By the end of the year, a survey will be sent out to obtain additional feedback about community benefits agreements.
