St. Patrick’s Day Parade Setup Guidelines
Many parade-goers aim to secure the best spots along the route to enjoy the celebrations. However, to ensure a safe and orderly experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines to avoid having your items removed:
- Folding chairs only may be placed in lawn areas after 6 PM on Sunday, March 16th, at your own risk (this does not include Parks and Squares).
- Chairs cannot be chained or tethered to trees, poles, structures, or other objects.
- Sidewalks and streets must remain clear of any obstructions at all times.
- No tents may be set up in advance.
Planning to Watch the Parade from a Square? Experience the land rush!
Several years ago, the City of Savannah instituted the "Land Rush" for square set-up. Believe it or not, St. Pat's revelers spend the night on the street hoping to get one of these coveted parade-watching locations at 6:00 AM in the morning right in our historic squares. For more info and land rush and the rules, click here!
Thank you for your cooperation in making this a fun and safe event for everyone!
