Paving crews have completed the final paving layer for the west end of the project. Lane striping should be completed next week, weather depending.
General McIntosh Boulevard
west bound traffic is set to be opened as soon as the end of next week. This should help the westbound morning commute into town. New traffic signals poles and arms are currently being assembled. Landscaping is now installed and ready to take root over the cooler season.
Next big milestone will be to open both sides of the new bridge near the Rail Road tracks, opening up General McIntosh for both directions of traffic, getting traffic signals installed and tested and finally opening the left turn lane onto Truman Parkway at the Rail Road tracks. These goals will be reached in stages and hopefully be substantially completed by early 2018.
