Crews have started work on the new bridge to span the future Bilbo Canal, just west of the railroad tracks. The 24” gravity sanitary sewer main under the old roadway that will serve future development to the north is complete. Fill dirt is currently being placed over the old roadway to bring it up to the level of the new road.
Crews finished the connection on the sanitary sewer manhole located adjacent to the current hard lane shift in the new roadway (near Randolph Street). The new water valve control building is nearing completion with roof work scheduled for next week. The water line connection in the median of President Street near the intersection of Truman Parkway is ongoing and should be finished this week. Please use caution in this area as partial lane closures will continue throughout the work day.
