With the traffic shift completed, crews are working on the north side of the new elevated roadway.
Old asphalt of the east and
west bound lanes is being obliterated and removed where necessary for utility work. A 24” gravity sanitary sewer main is currently under construction across the future western bound lanes (under old roadway) that will serve future development to the north. Once this work is complete, fill dirt will start getting placed over the old roadway.
While this is happening we should see work begin on the sanitary sewer manhole placement located adjacent to the current hard lane shift in the new roadway (near Randolph Street). Crews are also working on the General McIntosh portion of the project to complete the masonry walls of the new water valve control building.
