The Greater Savannah Area has outdoor watering restrictions due to saltwater seeping into our drinking water supply, the Floridan Aquifer.
No outdoor water use between 10 AM and 4 PM. (Water used during this time can be wasteful as much of it is lost in evaporation.) This is also a restriction for all of Georgia adopted in 2010 with the Georgia Water Stewardship Act.
