2. Inspection Guidelines:

   Inspections are scheduled according to the order in which they are received. Scheduling is based on the Fire Marshals’ availability. Wait times vary based on the volume of requests at the period. Every effort will be made to promptly respond to schedule an inspection.

4. Request For Inspection Procedure:
   • Only the Permit Holder can request an inspection. No General Contractors may use this form.
   • Hours for paperwork acceptance are 9am – 4pm, Monday through Friday except for a holiday. Please allow 48 hours to be contacted by a Fire Marshal to schedule.
   • No Same Day inspections will be scheduled. 
   • Contractors shall be responsible for requesting Savannah Fire Marshal’s Office for inspections. 
   • Verbal requests for inspections will not be accepted. 
   • A Fire Marshal will contact you to schedule the inspection. No inspection shall be considered approved or scheduled until such time as you are contacted by a Fire Marshal to confirm an inspection date and time.
   • Allow 2 hours from the scheduled time for the arrival of the inspector.
   • The Fire Permit Holder Representative must be present upon arrival, if no one on site at arrival the inspection will be canceled.

   
   

   The printed Stamped/Approved plans will still be REQUIRED on your job site for inspection.
