Application Process

The new and annual renewal STVR applications fees are Non-refundable

1. New STVR application fee $400.00
2. Annual renewal application fee $250.00

Short-Term Vacation Rental (“STVR”) property owners must complete an application and receive a certificate verifying they have met all zoning and ordinance requirements associated with the use.  A STVR certificate must be obtained prior to operating.

Applications along with a check or money order made payable to the City of Savannah for the permit fee can be mailed to Planning and Urban Design at P.O. Box 1027, Savannah, GA 31402 or can be dropped off at the Planning and Urban Design (“PUD”) office location at 20 Interchange Drive, Administration Building, Savannah, GA 31415.

Once an STVR application has been approved, a Business Tax Certificate (“BTC”) must be obtained through the Revenue Department, and a copy of the BTC must be forwarded to the Planning and Urban Design office prior to the issuance of the STVR Certificate.

Rental Agent Change Form – STVR Registration Portal. Per the recent announcement, the Rental Agent Change Form is only available through the STVR Registration Portal.
