Rivers Alive 2025 - RESCHEDULED

The 2025 Rivers Alive Cleanup is rescheduled to Saturday, November 22nd from 8:00AM until noon.

Special thanks to our sponsors Clean Coast and The Ogeechee Riverkeeper.

Rivers End Boat Landing (end of Hurst Avenue off Montgomery Crossroads)

A small number of kayaks will be available for volunteers so, please, bring if you have your own kayak, canoe or very small boat.

Email Laura Walker for more information.

Rivers Alive is a state program focusing on protecting and improving the quality of our rivers. Typically in October the City of Savannah joins many other groups across Georgia to organize cleanups. The originally scheduled day of October 11th was rescheduled to November 22nd due to weather.

Our annual clean up location is Harmon and Hayners Creeks. We meet at the Rivers End boat ramp.

City staff is so grateful to have a devoted group of volunteers that come out every year for this event. Special thanks to Clean Coast, the Ogeechee Riverkeeper, Mike Neal, Wilderness Southeast, students from our local schools and universities, and staff from local businesses.
