Classes and Workshops
In-Person Classes will resume August 16th!
Stay tuned for our Fall class and workshop schedule with something for everyone - all ages and interests! Visual arts classes will include clay, jewelry and metal work, mosaics, paper arts, collage, and drawing/painting. Performing arts classes will include theater, dance, and music options.
Arts on the Lawn
Our virtual storytime program has ended as we transition to an Arts on the Lawn series for ages 4 to 7. Sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest information!
Join us on the lawn of the Savannah Cultural Arts Center for an engaging morning session of crafts, stories, and movement!
This free program is geared toward children ages 4 to 7. Each session will last about an hour and include a craft that can be taken home at the end of the session.
Space is limited, registration is required and family units will be socially-distanced. A parent/guardian must be present with their children at all times. Please register by noon the Friday before the event!

July 10 - Theme: Water
This week we invite you to be inspired by water! Our art activity will be created by the movement of water and playing with colors. Then learn about storytelling through dance, celebrating Polynesian culture.

These event will take place on the lawn of the Savannah Cultural Arts Center. Attendees may bring their own chairs, blankets, or towels if desired. The Savannah Cultural Arts Center is located at 201 Montgomery St, the lawn is at the southeast corner of the intersection of Oglethorpe and MLK.
We recommend clothing that can get a little messy.
In the case if inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.
COVID-19 Precautions: Temperature checks and social distancing will be in place. Masks are required for this event.
Registration for classes can be completed using our online form. Payment will be completed by phone after registration is submitted. Your registration is not complete until payment is received.

Registration Deadline: 5:00p.m. on the day prior to class start date.
Procedures and Policies
The Cultural Resources department reserves the right to cancel classes, combine or reschedule classes, or change class instructors when necessary. The Cultural Resources department will not provide make-up classes or issue refunds to those who miss classes due to illness or other events beyond our control.
The Cultural Resources department reserves the right to refuse enrollment to participants with a history of unacceptable behavior.
Cancellations and Refunds
If the Cultural Resources department cancels a class for any reason, all registered participants will be informed as soon as possible and extended the opportunity to transfer to another class. If participants do not wish to transfer to another class, a full refund will be processed.
There is a $25 withdrawal and/or transfer fee. Notice of withdrawal or transfer must be made in WRITING to the Cultural Resources department, and it must be received by noon the Friday before the first day of class. No refunds will be made for withdrawals after that time. Failure to attend sessions or verbal notification will NOT be regarded as an official notice of withdrawal.
Our classes and workshops are available to the entire community and we strive to ensure that youth, in particular, have an opportunity to participate. Financial assistance is available for youth, aged 17 and under, who are enrolled in the SCCPSS free and reduced lunch program. Documentation is required from parents/guardians.
