 City of Savannah to Hold Three Additional Public Hearings With Intent to Opt-Out of HB 581 Homestead Exemption 

 

SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah intends to opt-out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption implemented by Georgia House Bill 581. 

All concerned citizens are invited to three public hearings on this matter to be held at the SCCPSS Board of Education Room located at the Eli Whitney Administrative Complex, 2 Laura Ave., Building G. The first public hearing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. Two more hearings will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
