East Duffy Street Carriage House Fire Displaces One
SAVANNAH, GA (Monday, January 18, 2021) – The Savannah Fire Department responded to the report of a fire in the 1100 Block of East Duffy Street at 4:31 a.m., Monday, January 18. Engine 8 was first on scene. Firefighters discovered a carriage house with flames on exterior sections of the wall and roof. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing the flames from extending to the inside of the building. No one was injured, but power to the structure was cut and one person was displaced.
