Family of Three Displaced by Juniper Circle Fire
SAVANNAH, GA (Thursday, July 30, 2020) – At 10:09 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, the Savannah Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 100 Block of Juniper Circle, located in the Windsor Forest Community. Engine 10 was first on scene. Firefighters discovered smoke and flames streaming from the bedroom window of a single story residence. They quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading throughout the house. The residents said a six-year-old child playing with a lighter started the fire. The child and two adults escaped unharmed, but the fire caused extensive smoke and fire damage. The family of three was displaced. The Red Cross was called to provide assistance.
Always store lighters and matches out of the reach of children.
