SAVANNAH – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Thursday Nov. 27 and Friday Nov. 28 in observance of Thanksgiving. Emergency services will remain open. Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:
Residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste routes will not be collected on Thursday, Nov. 27. Residential services will resume on Friday, Nov. 28 on a one-day delayed schedule. Recycling routes will run on Wednesday Nov. 26 and Friday Nov. 28. Street sweeping operations will not run on Thursday, Nov. 28. Services will resume on Monday, Dec. 1.
The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Thursday, Nov. 27. Dean Forest Landfill and Bacon Park will resume operations on Friday, Nov. 28, on regular hours.
