Eligibility for these homes, which are available for purchase, broadly are:

• 
  Household income between 80% and 120% of area median income by family size (varies by funding source)


• Completion of a homeowner education course


• Ability to secure a 1st position mortgage from a private lender (the housing department has limited assistance available for gap financing through 2nd position mortgages)

2. Does the Housing Department assist with housing searches for individuals looking for affordable units to rent or buy?

The Housing Department is primarily tasked with the creation, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable housing, and does not currently assist in housing searches.


The Housing Department does maintain a real-time listing of all DreamMaker homes available for purchase, but this is a limited portion of the local affordable housing market.
