Savannah Fire Searches for Arson Suspect
SAVANNAH, GA (Monday, March 1, 2021) – Savannah Fire Department Arson Investigators are searching for an individual suspected of lighting a trash fire that caused damage to the exterior of a downtown building. Just after 3 a.m. Sunday, February 28, Savannah firefighters were dispatched to the lane near Drayton and East Broughton streets. They quickly extinguished a large pile of burning pallets and rags behind a row of commercial buildings. No one was injured, but one of the buildings sustained minor exterior damage.
