South Street Car Fire Damages Home, Displaces Two
SAVANNAH, GA (Tuesday, July 14, 2020) – The Savannah Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 600 Block of South Street at 4:24 p.m., Tuesday, July 14. Engine 1 was first on scene. Firefighters discovered a car that was fully engulfed in flames and the eaves of a nearby house on fire. An individual was reportedly working on a car in the driveway of a home when the car caught fire. The flames spread to the home. No one was physically injured, but two people were displaced.
