Mission Statement

The mission of the Street Cleaning Division is to maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness, free of litter and debris, on all curbed and paved streets throughout the City of Savannah. Which ensures an environmentally safe and healthy community.

Work Programs


  • Street Sweeping - The sweeping of all paved and curbed streets within the City.
  • Sweep Zone Parking Enforcement - Article C. Sec. 7-1095
  • Sweep Zone Sign Maintenance - Cleaning, repairing, and installation of all sweep zone signs.
  • Catch Basin & Median-End Cleaning - Manual cleaning of catch basins, median-ends, and dead-end streets where street sweepers are unable to access.
