Investment Programs

The arts sector nourishes and drives the economic and cultural vitality of our community. The City of Savannah invests in our community through the Contracts for Cultural & Arts Services. Contracts for Cultural Arts Services are awarded to Savannah city-based non-profit organizations or universities, for the purchase of programs that have a measurable and sustained impact on Savannah residents and visitors. The Department of Cultural Resources staff, along with the Cultural Affairs Commission members, administrate, manage and analyze the financial and programmatic outcome and scope of the contracted services.

Funding Philosophy

The Department of Cultural Resources believes that assisting the local arts community financially as well as technically is an investment in the continued cultural growth of the City of Savannah. Recognizing that government resources are limited, the department encourages organizations to develop proposals that demonstrate cooperation between agencies through collaborative partnerships or services showing additional sources of financial support.
