Weave-A-Dream is a flexible project-based program that aims to encourage small and emerging and small nonprofit organizations to propose specific, innovative programming—programming that strengthens, diversifies, and expands Savannah’s creative sector.

The Cultural Affairs Commission’s Weave-A-Dream Panel seeks proposals that align with the City’s efforts to:

  • Increase economic growth through skill-building, employment and entrepreneurship
  • Expand art and culture to new audiences and participants
  • Engage, develop and inspire young people
  • Enrich the quality of life in Savannah

Projects should engage individuals who have limited access to creative programs and should reach communities across all Aldermanic districts.

Organizations are encouraged to apply for both the Weave-A-Dream and Spotlight programs simultaneously. Fall 2026 Spotlight program applications will open for October and November weekend dates:

  • Thursday, October 1st – Saturday, October 3rd
  • Thursday, October 15th – Saturday, October 17th
  • Thursday, November 5th – Saturday, November 7th

Applications are reviewed by the Weave-A-Dream Panel who consider the project’s artistic merit, quality of design, quality of marketing strategy, and plan for assessing the project’s success. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must provide matching funds as outlined in the Guidelines below. The maximum amount that can be requested is $5,000 (with a one-to-one match) and proposed projects must be produced within the City of Savannah’s corporate limits.
