    Once you complete the form, a member of our customer service team will contact you to collect payment in the order it was received. In the case of our most popular classes with many registrants, we will move to the next registration if we have not heard back in 24 hours time. The registration form does not automatically update so note that waitlists may not yet be accurately reflected at the time of submission. Thank you for your understanding.     Resident pricing is available for residents who have an address within the City of Savannah corporate limits. Reduced pricing is available for qualifying City of Savannah residents.

  2. General Class Information

    Adult and Teen Classes are 8 Weeks unless otherwise noted. Youth Classes are 6 weeks unless otherwise noted. Due to demand, adult ceramics classes are limited to one class per student per term.

    There are no classes the weekend of Labor Day (Saturday, Sept 2 and Monday, Sept 4)

    Our goal is for our classes to be inclusive and accessible. Accessible entrance and parking is available. If you have an accommodation request for class, please let us know by completing the section at the bottom of this form or via email at scac@savannahga.gov, or by phone 912-651-6783. Although we will do our very best, due to our resources we cannot guarantee that we can meet every accommodation.

  43. POLICIES & PROCEDURES

    Please read the following and sign below electronically.
    Registration is first-come first-served. Your space in a class or workshop is not reserved until payment is received. A staff member will contact you in the the order that your registration form was received. In the case of our most popular classes with many registrants, we will move to the next registration if we have not heard back in 24 hours time.

    NO CASH is accepted. Payments by credit card or check is accepted. Make payable to: City of Savannah.

    Cancellations, Withdrawals, and Refunds

    Cultural Resources reserves the right to cancel, to combine or reschedule classes, or to change class instructors, when necessary. • Cultural Resources will not provide make-up classes or issue refunds to those who miss classes due to illness or other events beyond our control. • If Cultural Resources cancels a class for any reason, all registered participants will be informed as soon as possible and extended the opportunity to transfer to another class. If participants do not wish to transfer to another class, a refund will be processed. • Participants may withdraw from a class with no penalty up to one week before the first class meets. After that time a 50% withdrawal penalty will be applied. Notice of withdrawal must be made in WRITING to Cultural Resources. • No refunds will be issued after the first class. • Failure to attend first class session without prior notification could result in cancellation of registration.

    Attendance Policies

    Early Arrival: Participants will be allowed into the classroom no earlier than 10 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin. • Late Arrival:  A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed for late arrivals. After that time Cultural Resources reserves the right to deny entry to class at the discretion of the Instructor. Participants are encouraged to call ahead to the Savannah Cultural Arts Center in the event they will arrive late. No refunds will be given for classes that are missed due to late arrival. • Cultural Resources reserves the right to cancel a class that has zero attendance for two consecutive classes. Students taking classes in a Ceramics studio or the Jewelry and Metals studio must wear closed toes shoes to attend class. Entry to class may not be granted if students are not wearing appropriate footwear in these studios. • Cultural Resources reserves the right to refuse enrollment to, or terminate enrollment from,  participants who have displayed unacceptable or disruptive behavior. Terminated students may receive a refund for classes missed at the discretion of the director.

    Student Code of Conduct

    Be respectful and courteous to everyone at the Cultural Arts Center: fellow students, teaching artists, staff, patrons, and visitors. Be respectful and courteous in your verbal interactions, refrain from profanity, comments or jokes that disparage others, or any remarks that could be interpreted as demeaning, threatening, or abusive. Remember, this is a space for art.   Be respectful and courteous of others’ physical space. • Under no circumstances should you touch artwork that is not yours without prior permission. •  Follow instructions given by staff and teaching artists. Give teaching artists your full attention when they are addressing the class and observe their class policies.  Constructive criticism is welcome, negativity is not appropriate. The Savannah Cultural Ars Center has a zero-tolerance policy against threats or intimidation, stalking, bullying or verbal abuse, gestures of a violent or inappropriate nature, sexual harassment, physical assault, or any other behavior that creates a hostile environment. Disruptive behavior that distracts from learning, artmaking or the center’s day-to-day operations is not allowed, and students who engage in such are subject to dismissal without warning.

  46. Indemnification/Hold Harmless Agreement:

    I/we, the undersigned, consent for me, my/our minor child/ ward to participate in the programs sponsored by the City of Savannah. In consideration of me, my/our child’s/ward’s participation in the program, I/we hereby agree to assume all the risks and hazards incidental to said participations and do further agree to waive all claims against and release, absolve, indemnify and otherwise hold harmless the City of Savannah, its employees, administrators, agents and assigns and others who assist the above, for any loss, damages or personal injuries that I, said child/ ward may receive as a result of such participation.

  47. Photo/Video Release:

    I hereby grant permission for the City of Savannah to use my/my child/ward's likeness/image in photographs and videos for purposes of documentation and use in newsletters, brochures, publications, webspace and other media; and understand and agree I will make no monetary or other claim against the City of Savannah for the use of these images.

  48. COVID-19:

    I/We understand COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that spreads easily through person-to-person contact and participating in City of Savannah programs and accessing City facilities could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. The City in no way warrants that contracting COVID-19 or other contagions will not occur through participation and use of City programs/facilities.

  49. Medical Conditions/Medical Release:

    I/We understand the City of Savannah does NOT administer medications. I/We understand it is my/our responsibility to make the City of Savannah aware of any known personal medical condition(s) of the participant and attest to providing this information in the space provided below. I/We understand that there are some risks inherent in the activities that are included in the Program, but willingly assume these risks in order to allow me/my child/ward to participate, and I/we give permission for Staff to provide CPR and First Aid and/or emergency medical care or treatment to be provided by an emergency medical technician (ambulance EMT), physician, surgeon, nurse, doctor’s assistant, or medical care facility that may be required. NOTE: If you/your child has anaphylactic allergic reactions, we request that you/they bring an EpiPen or AnaKit.
