City to host Joe Tribble Park Re-opening Ceremony

SAVANNAH (May 26) – The City of Savannah will host a re-opening ceremony for Joe Tribble Park at 12517 Largo Drive on Wednesday, May 31, at 10 a.m.

In October 2022, City Council authorized a contract to repair the Joe Tribble Park Lake for up to approximately $2.5 million. In late December 2021, the water level at Joe Tribble Park Lake began to decrease. The designed solution included the construction of a 12-foot-wide clay wall along the embankment on the west side of the lake. Crews also filled in all voids that formed under the current breached area and replaced the walking trail in the affected area.

The park closed for construction in November 2022. The community is encouraged to attend this ceremony to commemorate the official re-opening.
