[ARCHIVED] Residents advised to turn-off sprinklers in cold weather

For Immediate Release
Date: January 3, 2013

With temperatures beginning to approach freezing at night, the City of Savannah advises residents to turn off their automatic sprinkler systems to prevent dangerously icy conditions on our streets and sidewalks.

This is also a reminder that all of Chatham County is under permanent watering restrictions imposed by the State of Georgia. There is no watering between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Even numbered and un-numbered households can water only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Odd numbered households can only water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
