City to host June 14 public meeting on square naming

 

SAVANNAH (June 12) -- The City of Savannah will host a public meeting on Wednesday, June 14 to provide an update on the naming process for the historic square located at Abercorn Street and East Wayne Street. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Center, located at 305 Fahm Street. The purpose of the public meeting will be to review the naming process timeline and answer any questions about the process.

 

All completed naming applications have been reviewed and 15 applications met the requirements to move forward in the process. The 15 submissions are available to review at www.savannahga.gov/squarenaming

 

The public is encouraged to provide feedback on the potential names via email
