City offices to close in observance of Memorial Day

 

SAVANNAH (May 25) – City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Emergency services will remain open.

 

Sanitation services will be impacted by the holiday. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:

 

Residential garbage collection services will resume Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 2. Sanitation crews will collect yard waste on Friday, May 26, and resume Wednesday, May 31, through Saturday, June 3. Street cleaning services will resume Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 2. There will be no recycling from May 29 through June 2. 

 

The Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will be closed for drop-offs on Monday, May 29. Dean Forest Landfill will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 30, at 7 a.m. Bacon Park will resume normal operations on Wednesday, May 31, at 9 a.m.
