Sanitation services adjusted due to Veterans Day, potential inclement weather

SAVANNAH (Nov. 9) – City of Savannah Sanitation services are being adjusted due to the Veterans Day holiday and potential for inclement weather.

All Thursday collection routes are currently planned to be completed as normal, weather permitting, however nighttime street cleaning that would normally occur on Thursday will be suspended and resume on Monday, Nov. 14.

Due to the Veterans Day holiday on Friday, Nov. 11, yard waste collection services will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12. Dean Forest Landfill and Bacon Park Convenience Center will also be closed on Friday and reopen on Saturday.

As always during potentially high winds, the City advises all Sanitation customers to remove loose debris from their yards and secure garbage and recycling carts.
