City breaks ground on new Hudson Hill Community Center
SAVANNAH (Nov. 17) – The City of Savannah broke ground on the new Hudson Hill Community Center on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. The ceremony took place at Rebecca N. Gray Memorial Park at the corner of Hudson Street and West Lathrop Avenue, where the new center will sit.
In October, the city council approved a $2.8 million construction contract to build a new 4,800 square-foot community center to replace the previous 3,800 square-foot community center that was demolished in September 2019. The new facility will have classrooms, offices, large assembly space and a commercial kitchen.
