City to kick off United Way campaign 

SAVANNAH (Sept. 15) – The City of Savannah will kick off its participation in the United Way of the Coastal Empire's annual giving campaign on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. in Johnson Square. 

Savannah City Manager Joseph A. Melder, Mayor Van R. Johnson, II, United Way of the Coastal Empire President and CEO Brynn Grant and 2021 Campaign Chair Cecilia Russo Turner will share information about the city’s fundraising goal and how the community can participate in this year’s Forward United campaign.

Media are asked to send one crew per outlet. Masks and social distancing will be required.
