Grand opening of new Highlands Fire Station

SAVANNAH (June 3) – The Savannah Fire Department and the City of Savannah will celebrate the grand opening of Highlands Fire Station 14 on Wednesday, June 9, at 10 a.m.

The city broke ground on the $3.8 million SPLOST-funded project in November 2019, and it is the first permanent fire station in the Highlands. The Savannah Fire Department operated out of a temporary trailer for more than a decade before moving into the new facility last month.

The ceremony will take place at 480 Highlands Blvd. Media are asked to send one crew per outlet, and masks are required.
