[ARCHIVED] November election voting information.

Election Day is Nov. 3, and Savannahians need to start planning how they will vote.

If voters would like to request an absentee ballot, they can do so until Friday, Oct. 30. Absentee ballots can be requested online at BallotRequest.sos.ga.gov or in person at the Chatham County Board of Registrars office at 1117 Eisenhower Dr.

New this year, the state launched a ballot tracking website that allows voters to sign up for alerts to follow when their absentee ballot is issued, received, and accepted. Voters can go to Georgia.BallotTrax.net/voter, enter their information, and sign up for notifications. You can also monitor your ballot status on the my voter page at mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Make sure you follow the instructions on your ballot to fill it out correctly. Then sign and seal your completed ballot.

You can return your ballot by mail, in person or at a secure drop box.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by Nov. 6. If you're voting by mail, send it in as soon as possible.
