Savannah’s Frontline Heroes campaign highlights and thanks the public health, medical, food and nutrition employees, first responders and City staff who have continuously served our community throughout the global pandemic.

Angela Hopper Photography photographed these heroes, and banners featuring her photos are hanging throughout the City.

Included in this campaign are Dr. Lawton Davis, director of the Coastal Health District, Candler Hospital, Memorial Health, St. Joseph’s Hospital, SouthCoast Health, the Salvation Army, America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, the Forsyth Farmer’s Market, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Nutrition Program, Savannah Convention Center staff, Savannah Fire, Savannah Police, and the City of Savannah Water Resources and Sanitation.

The banners will hang at City Hall, Grayson Stadium, the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center, the Savannah Civic Center, the City’s Development Services building, the Cultural Arts Center, Jug Knight Field, the State Street Garage, Veterans Memorial Park, the President Street Water Plant, the Liberty Street Garage, the Tatemville neighborhood entrance, and on SCAD buildings along Highway 17 and at Victory Drive and Whitaker Street.

Community partners worked with City staff to select heroes to feature on posters, and private donations provided funding for the project.
